In Łomża, balcony partitions (fixed enclosures) were built, thus separating spaces for individual apartments with a common balcony slab. The infill was made of Stacbond STB-420 composite boards, thanks to which the solution is consistent with the Classic Cover balustrades installed in this project, using the same material as the lower infill (blende).
The balcony partition consists of horizontal load-bearing profiles 48×20×2 mm to which “U” glass profiles are screwed. In the case of the described project, aluminium profiles 50×30×2 mm were used vertically, connected to the supporting profile with self-drilling screws 4.8×25 mm. The solution from the manufacturer of fixed enclosures QUASPE allows the use of various types of infill, not only glass – in this case, a solution was used with two 4 mm thick composite plates, giving a total infill of 8 mm thick.
Permanent enclosures (balcony partitions) allow you to aesthetically and permanently separate balconies and at the same time maintain a uniform appearance of the façade. The Stacbond material ensures resistance to weather conditions and emphasises the character of the project. Combined with aluminium and glass balustrades, it creates a coherent, functional space, appreciated in modern housing estates in Łomża.
