There are projects that give real professional satisfaction and there are also those that simply touch the heart. This one definitely falls into the latter category.

Together with the MARTEL Foundation, we had the great pleasure of helping to place the 65th “Library Heart” – this time at the University Children’s Clinical Hospital. L. Zamenhof in Białystok. This is an extraordinary initiative aimed at spreading the love of books and making the time of the youngest patients spending their days in hospital rooms more enjoyable.

The new “Library Heart” was erected in the Department of Pediatric Surgery and Urology. This is a beautiful wooden bookcase designed with children in mind – colorful, friendly, at a height perfect for little hands. It is filled with books, fairy tales, coloring books and educational materials that young patients can read on site or take home with them after treatment.

For us at QUASPE, this is not a one-time action – we have committed to regular support of the library so that new items appear there every month. We want children to be able to find something interesting every time that will allow them to forget about hospital worries, at least for a moment.

We believe that such actions really make sense. The smile of a child who curiously reaches for a book is the greatest reward. We are happy that we can contribute to this unique initiative and, together with the MARTEL Foundation, create a space where books bring joy, peace and a bit of magic.
