For a private investor, a complete terrace canopy and sliding enclosures were made, which significantly increased the functionality of the usable space. The enclosures in RAL 8022 MAT colour were filled with clear glass: 55.2 VSG/ESG glass was used in the canopy, and 10 mm ESG glass in the sliding enclosure. The frameless system ensures lightness and full visibility, and high-class trolleys with a load capacity of 120 kg per leaf guarantee smooth and comfortable operation of the entire sliding enclosure in Płociczno.
The project in Płociczno (Podlaskie Voivodeship) was carried out for a private investor in the period from May to June 2023. The scope of work included the construction of a terrace canopy and the installation of a frameless sliding enclosure, which allowed for the expansion of the functional relaxation space and effective protection against wind and precipitation.
The canopy structure is made of powder-coated aluminium in RAL 8022 MAT, and the infill is made of clear glass 55.2 VSG/ESG. Rainwater drainage is provided through extended rafters, eliminating the need to install an additional drainage system. The sliding enclosure was implemented in a frameless system, using clear ESG glass with a thickness of 10 mm and trolleys with a load capacity of up to 120 kg. The space between the canopy and the buildings was supplemented with permanent profiles and glass, which allowed maintaining uniform aesthetics and a coherent character of the entire enclosure.
Sliding enclosures are a way to extend the terrace’s use season and increase the comfort of everyday use of the outdoor space. Thanks to its durable construction and high transparency, the glass is an ideal solution for modern housing estates in Płociczno and the surrounding area.
