On the project at ul. Jurowiecka in Białystok, fixed enclosures were built in the form of balcony partitions, designed with the diverse architecture of terraces and gardens in mind. The infill was made of 44.2 VSG glass, graphite on both sides, with MilkyWhite interlayer, which gave a subtle semi-permeability effect and effective privacy protection. The enclosure in RAL 7036 MAT colour was matched to the façade, creating a visually coherent element of the space typical of modern housing estates in Białystok.
The balcony partition consists of horizontal load-bearing profiles 48×20×2 mm to which “U” glass profiles are screwed. In the case of the described project, aluminium profiles 50×30×2 mm were used vertically, connected to the supporting profile with self-drilling screws 4.8×25 mm. The solution ensured stability even with non-standard partition heights. Thanks to the flexibility of the system, it was possible to create structures with various proportions, adapted to the layout of balconies and terraces. In total, over 750 m² of partitions were installed, which makes the project one of the largest in this part of the city.
Permanent enclosures (balcony partitions) are a way to separate space on the balcony slab and ensure privacy for its users. The systems proposed by the manufacturer of fixed enclosures QUASPE allow for free shaping of the geometry of partitions, making them suitable for both classic layouts and facilities with diverse architecture – such as this project in the centre of Białystok.
